I’m a sucker for fighter romances, or really any sports themed romances. Who doesn’t want want to see the big tough guy be brought to his knees by a strong, lovable woman? This book was an instant ‘want to read.’
My first impression was that the story is rushed, and it held through to the end. The story seemed to jump instead of transition. Honestly, I wanted more of these two. I wanted more character and relationship development. I wanted to get to know their friends more. I wanted more moments of the young, full of himself alpha male and completely contradictory sweet and scared of love, Tommy; and even more of the snob Siena. The characters grew a lot in such a short amount of time, its unreal. I loved their relationship, though! I just want more!
I love that Tommy is younger than Siena, though I’m surprised that wasn’t a bigger point of confrontation in the book. I was pleasantly (and maybe not so much at times) surprised that the sex scenes were very tame and realistic (other than their voyeurism, of course). This is a book to enjoy without leaving you feeling jealous as many modern romances can do. Overall, this is a sweet, quick read and I enjoyed it.
